GEP, the New Jersey-based procurement and supply chain software provider, has maintained its position as the highest-rated solution in Spend Matters' Fall 2025 SolutionMap, marking the ninth consecutive report in which the company has secured the top ranking.

The company's software suite topped 15 categories in the industry assessment, which evaluated 115 solution providers across more than 500 functional and capability requirements. GEP achieved the highest scores in source-to-pay (S2P) and source-to-contract (S2C) suites, as well as in intake and orchestration, analytics, sourcing, and supplier and risk management categories.

Market positioning

Spend Matters, which publishes its SolutionMap rankings twice annually, attributed GEP's performance to what it described as "unmatched functional depth, innovation, and customer satisfaction". The assessment methodology focuses on technical capabilities, integration quality, and the effectiveness of artificial intelligence implementations across procurement technologies.

The company achieved particularly strong results in the Intake & Orchestration category, where its AI-driven automation of workflow standardisation and stakeholder engagement was highlighted. This segment represents a growing focus area within enterprise procurement as organisations seek to connect procurement functions more effectively with broader business operations.

Product ecosystem

GEP's software portfolio encompasses GEP SMART, which won recognition as the world's best procurement software for a second consecutive year, and GEP NEXXE, its cloud-native supply chain platform. Both products operate on GEP QUANTUM, the company's AI-first, low-code platform designed for procurement, supply chains, and sustainability functions.

The software is positioned to integrate with third-party and legacy systems, including SAP and Oracle enterprise resource planning platforms. GEP serves Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises, providing what it characterises as integrated analytics, workflow management, and user experience capabilities.

Industry context

The procurement software market has seen increased consolidation and competition as enterprises prioritise digital transformation of back-office functions. The integration of artificial intelligence into procurement workflows represents a key differentiator among vendors, with capabilities ranging from spend analytics to supplier risk monitoring becoming standard expectations.

Spend Matters' SolutionMap assessment, which has been published since 2017, provides procurement professionals with comparative data on solution features and customer satisfaction scores. The ranking system examines technical integration between product modules, ERP systems, and broader technology ecosystems.
